Welcome to our website! As we travel to live and work in solidarity with our Caribbean neighbors, we hope to use this space to share our experiences with you. We have themed the site after a Haitian proverb: “A rock in the water does not know the suffering of a rock in the sun.” Indeed, it is difficult to understand the situation of others, especially across cultural and economic differences. Yet, those of us who live in the waters of an affluent culture are responsible for how our lives affect those struggling to provide for themselves.
